Title: Jennifer Marsman presents "Windows 7 for Developers"
In Windows 7, Multitouch and the Ribbon provide you with powerful capabilities to differentiate your application from the competition.  We’ll explore how the Ribbon has been extended from Office 2007 to Windows 7, how you can use it in your own applications, and demonstrate a tool to help you develop Ribbons.  In the physical world, we interact with objects using multiple fingers.  Multitouch allows you to extend this capability to your computer, so it can recognize and respond to not just a single mouse pointer, but multiple fingers touching the screen at once.  This gives your users a very natural method of interacting with your application.  We will explore and demonstrate the multitouch capabilities available with Windows 7 out of the box, the gesture-level APIs, and the raw touch input APIs.
