Title: Jesse Murray presents 'SharePoint - the Right Way'
With clients and developers alike there is often a common misconception around SharePoint and what it presents as a development platform.  This confusion has held back the proper use of SharePoint to achieve business objectives with improper implementations resulting in both subpar solutions and a bad product reputation for SharePoint within the development community.  In this session we will seek to understand the nuts and bolts of the SharePoint product and address some of the more common misconceptions that can cause a SharePoint application project to go awry.  Additionally, as SharePoint is approaching a new release milestone we will discuss design options and the implications on your ability to implement a solution that will operate across the product cycle.
Speaker: Jesse Murray, Sogeti
Jesse Murray is a Principal Consultant at Sogeti primarily focused on SharePoint architecture, with ten years of software development experience using Microsoft tools including Office System development, client server applications, web and windows services, smart clients and the Microsoft collaboration stack.  In the past, he has spoken at CodeMash, Day of .Net, SE Michigan SharePoint Users group and various Microsoft DevCares.  Thoughts and general ramblings can be found at http://thesharepoint.spaces.live.com/
